In North Carolina A school went to court because the students beileved the skirts only rule for girls was unfair and unconstitutional
The court ruled that the school did violate the 14th amendment one that initially was made regarding slavery. This shows that even in less serious issues these old laws still can apply to life today and be relevant over a hundred years later.
